Description
RP2040 Mini USB-A Development Board
The RP2040 Mini is a microcontroller board built around the Raspberry Pi RP2040 chip, with a USB-A plug moulded into the PCB itself.
It pushes straight into a laptop or USB hub, so there’s no cable to lose and nothing extra to buy before you start. It suits anyone building compact projects — USB gadgets, macro pads, sensor loggers, wearables — where a Pico and a cable simply won’t fit.
4MB of flash is roughly ten times what a bare RP2040 needs for a typical MicroPython project, so there’s plenty of headroom for your code plus fonts, images, data logs or a small filesystem alongside it.
Why you’ll like it
- Plugs in directly. The board is its own USB-A connector, so it’s ready to flash the moment it’s in the port.
- Genuinely tiny. Small enough to leave permanently inside an enclosure or a keyboard case.
- BOOT and RESET buttons on board. Entering bootloader mode is a button press, not a soldering job.
- Familiar toolchain. The RP2040 is well documented and widely supported, so tutorials, libraries and forum answers written for other RP2040 boards apply here.
- GPIO on both sides. Broken out to through-hole pads with the pinout printed in the second product image.
What’s included
- 1 x RP2040 Mini USB-A development board
- 2 x header pin strips (supplied loose — soldering required if you want to use them)

Programming
Supports MicroPython, CircuitPython, C/C++. Hold BOOT while plugging the board in to mount it as a USB drive, then drag your .uf2 file across.
Please note: header pins are not pre-soldered. The pinout diagram shown is for reference and the board colour may differ from the diagram.
